TSUNAMI RELIEF, SRI LANKA
Before the December 2004 Tsunami struck the Indian Ocean, WIN was planning a much needed water purification trip to Sri Lanka.  The trip was postponed until early March 2005.  When WIN arrived in Sri Lanka they expected to see the people busy rebuilding their lives.  However money and aid were scarce and the citizens of the island nation were still struggling as they were living in tents and drinking contaminated water.  WIN brought purification units to allow the Sri Lankans to purify their own water.  Bill Wixey and Q13 Fox News were also on this trip.  Their photos and reporting brought the Sri Lankan story to western Washington.
